Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve Evoq. Specifically, we may collect:

  • Email address — when you create an account, used for authentication and account management only.
  • Anonymous usage analytics — aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data about feature usage to help us improve the product. No individual user is identifiable from this data.
  • Browser storage — your settings, preferences, and custom aliases are stored locally in your browser and optionally synced to your account.

We do not collect your browsing history, passwords, page content, form data, or any other sensitive personal information. Ever.

2. How We Use Data

The data we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Authentication — verifying your identity and keeping your account secure.
  • Subscription management — processing your Pro subscription, billing, and plan status.
  • Product improvement — understanding which features are used to guide development priorities.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating and improving Evoq.

3. Third Parties

We use a minimal set of third-party services, each chosen for their strong privacy and security posture:

  • Supabase — provides authentication and database services. Your account data is stored on Supabase infrastructure.
  • Stripe — handles payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Evoq never stores your payment card details directly.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party beyond the services listed above.

4. Browser Extension

The Evoq browser extension operates with strong privacy guarantees:

  • All tab, bookmark, and browser data is processed entirely locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser.
  • The content script injected into pages does not read, record, or transmit any page content, form data, or user input from those pages.
  • There are no tracking pixels, session replays, or behavioral monitoring of any kind embedded in the extension.
  • Custom aliases and settings are stored in browser local storage and optionally synced to your account if you are signed in.

5. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

  • Your personal data will be deleted from our systems within 30 days of the account deletion request.
  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked to your identity may be retained indefinitely.
  • Stripe may retain billing records as required by applicable financial regulations.

6. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. At any time you may:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct — update or correct inaccurate information associated with your account.
  • Delete — request complete deletion of your account and associated data.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@evoq.app. We will respond within 14 days.

7. Cookies

We use cookies only where necessary:

  • Session cookies — used by Supabase to maintain your authenticated session. These are essential for the service to function and are deleted when you sign out.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or persistent behavioral cookies of any kind.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account before the changes take effect. Continued use of Evoq after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
