Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Evoq (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Evoq.

2. Service Description

Evoq is a browser extension that provides a command palette interface for managing browser tabs, bookmarks, browsing history, and quick actions. The extension supports Chrome and Firefox and is available in a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Features and availability may change over time as we continue to improve the product.

3. Accounts

To access certain features (including Pro), you must create an account. By creating an account you agree that:

• You are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You will create and maintain only one account per person. Duplicate accounts may be terminated.
• You will provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date.

4. Free & Pro Plans

Evoq offers two tiers of service:

• Free tier — available indefinitely at no cost. Includes core features: tab management, tab groups, and basic actions (new tab, close, reload, pin, mute, search, navigation, and more).
• Pro tier — available at $3/month or $24/year. Includes all free features plus: bookmark management, browsing history, data clearing, all integrations, and custom aliases.
• New Pro subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. No charge is made until the trial period ends.

We reserve the right to adjust plan pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice to existing subscribers.

5. Payments & Refunds

• All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing to Pro, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel at any time through your account page. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period.
• We offer a 14-day refund policy for Pro subscriptions. If you are unsatisfied within 14 days of your first payment, contact support@evoq.app for a full refund.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Evoq only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of any proprietary component of Evoq.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the Service.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or other harmful content.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features or access controls.

7. Intellectual Property

Evoq and its original content, features, design, and functionality are owned by Evoq and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of your data, settings, and custom aliases created through the Service. By using Evoq, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Evoq and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

• You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the account page or by contacting support@evoq.app.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Your personal data will be deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email before the new Terms take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
